SMASH BRO CAR GAME THING
This was a solo project made in Unreal 5 over the course of 2 months. It technically was two projects, but since the second one would require an entirely new level my professor allowed me to build off of it. The first one is a game about driving a car around in a desert. The second one is a game about driving a car through various destructible obstacles.
The goal of the first project was to learn about sensation (i.e. feedback, kinesthetics, ect.). I wanted to make a game that delivered the sensation of driving a car. Over the course of creating this project, I learned: how to use Unreal 4, what a vehicles stats should be, and how to design and scale environments that are meant to be driven through.
The goal of the second project was to learn about fantasy. I decided to make a game about a power fantasy, and I built off of the previous project to do so. I also added Unreal’s destructible meshes to achieve this.
